The Experimental Study of Disinfectant Effect on the Skin by Disinfectant Solutions

Abstract
The skin infection has been investigated and a huge amount of work has been done in this field, but still has many problems.
The author has attempted to estimate the colony numbers of normal flora in forearm (2.5cm) of the ;patients or healthy students, and tested bactericidal action on the normal skin by 70.% Alcohol, 0. 1% Benzalconium, 2% Hydrogen Peroxide, and 0. 1% Iodine. The time tested was 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 60 seconds after disinfecting with each of disinfectant solutions.
The results are as follows;
1. Healthy students had normal flora less than patients.
2. The optimic bacteriocidal action of each of disinfectant solutions was- 30 seconds by 70% Alcohol, 15 seconds by 0. 1% Benzalconium, 60 seconds by 2% Hydrogen Peroxide, and 15 seconds by 0.1% Iodine.
3. There was distinctly significance between control group and 30 seconds group in Alcohol and between control group and 15, 30, and 60 seconds group in Iodine (p<0. 01), but no significance in Benzalconium and Hydrogen Peroxide (p>0. 05).
